New Application Form for Editing Nests

Trainers,

To improve everyone’s experience and ensuring accurate data for our nest spawns in Winnipeg, we are developing an application form for those who want editing privileges in our nests database.

Those interested in being a nests contributor are required to fill out the application form below. The form will consist of your name, email, regions where you can contribute to nest info, and your experience in the game (we don’t need your level; just how often you play Pokémon GO will suffice).

We are hopeful by implementing an application process, we would be able to provide you with the most accurate information for nest spawns in Winnipeg.

If you have any questions, please direct them to Saif.

New Raid Bosses added to raids!

There are reports across the world that new raid bosses have been added!

As of 6:00pm CDT, the following new raid bosses have been spotted across the world:

  • Tier 1 – Metapod, Charmeleon, Ivysaur, Wartortle
  • Tier 2 – Cloyster, Magneton, Marowak, Sableye, Sandslash, Tentacruel
  • Tier 3 – Omastar, Porygon, Scyther
  • Tier 4 – Golem, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Poliwrath, Victreebel

Time till well whether these raid bosses are an addition to the current ones or if they’re replacing them. Either way, if you haven’t caught any of these pokémon (or need these pokémon for candies), here’s your chance to catch them!

UPDATE:

The following old raid bosses are still showing: Alakazam, Gengar, Lapras, Machamp, Muk, Snorlax, Tyranitar, Weezing

Update: Snow in forecast for raid parade tomorrow!

If you’ve kept track with the weather forecast for Winnipeg, you probably know that we’re under a Snowfall Warning and are expecting snow to start early tomorrow morning, continuing on until tomorrow night. 10-15cm of snow is expected by tomorrow night.

Despite the inclement weather, the raid parade is scheduled to proceed as usual between 11am and 2pm, with the meeting place at Upper Fort Garry Heritage Park, across from Union Station. Everyone should dress up for the weather, with proper outerwear and boots especially if you’re participating in the walking parade. If you’re in the driving parade, please exercise caution on the roads, as they would likely be slippery and snow covered.

Please also consider bringing a clear plastic bag where you can store your phone inside, so that your screen won’t get wet and you’ll have an easier time catching your raid Pokémon.

Everyone’s safety is our top priority, and we will ensure everyone coming out tomorrow will have a great time while staying safe.

See you tomorrow!

New update allows for one more powerup level for your Pokémon!

A new update dropped last night for Pokémon GO. While Apple users would still have to wait for a few days, some Android users have sideloaded the update and have discovered something trainers have long waited for.

The good news? Trainers can now power up their Pokémon beyond level 39. The bad news? It can only power up to level 39.5.

This means that those who utilized the triple tap glitch will still have a higher max CP on their highest level Pokémon, since they can achieve level 40 status. However, for those who only play with one phone and cannot morally use three phones to achieve the level 40 plateau, this update takes it halfway there.

A powerup to level 39.5 would take 15 candies and 10,000 stardust. While trainers still cannot get their elusive 3355CP on their perfect Snorlax for instance, a step halfway to 3331CP isn’t so bad when it comes to sticking it in a gym to show off.

The newest update also includes several back-end fixes (and bugs…what’s new), but the max CP “half-fix” was definitely the major addition to this update.
